Hello all,
I have the opportunity to move into an office building and lease-to-own from my mother. The building is roughly 1900SF. It is divided into a few offices, two bathrooms, a conference room and a kitchen. We want to keep two of the offices and create a new front reception area.
Right now, the ceilings are 8'. There is a considerable amount of crawl space/dead space between the internal ceilings and a peaked roof!! It is my plan to demo the ceilings in the areas where I will build. Although there is no roof in the Sketchup files, you might be able to picture it running lengthwise along the building; the triangulation occurs along the width, not the length.
There are three sketchup files:
HoweStAccurate - is a file of the office as it exists now. I ran a tape measure, and put the dimensions directly into Sketchup, but I know it is off by an inch or two here and there.
HoweStDemoed - is a layout of the space that will remain after killing a few walls and the ceiling.
HoweStStudio1V1 - is a ruff idea of how a control room, tracking room and iso might fit in. It looks like this file is too big to attach, so I have posted it @

The total space Available for the studio ends up being only 750SF or so. I know it will be tight. . .
I think once the ceilings are angled + taller I have a fighting chance.
Any Ideas?
thanks
