Has anyone used fiber optic skylights in their studio?

Has anyone installed fiber optic skylights in their studio? I was thinking it might be a nice way to get some natural light into the rooms. I haven't really looked into their construction too much as far as sound leakage problems. Hopefully someone has some experience and can fill me in a little bit. Thanks, Jordan Schulze

Fiber optic skylights or Solar Tube skylights?? I'd like to know about the latter since the fiber optic ones seem very expensive. The solar tube ones only run about $200. I too am wondering about sound leakage, i think most of the leakage would occur the length of the metal tube used to channel the light downward into the room. Possibly the transmission loss could be reduced by insulating the tube by surrounding it in a box or just wrapping it in alot of fiberglass insulation? Leakage also would travel up the tube out through the dome, but i don't know how much sound would escape. Anyone else?
I'd be interest in either, as long leakage wasn't a problem. It seemed like the fiberoptic would be easier to to control the sound, because it looks like it's just a dish on the roof with fiberoptic cable running into the lights. But it someone has a way to seal up a tubular skylight it seems that it would be just as good. Thanks, Jordan
bump for some light
