hi today i had the first time a guy here who did a few measurements of my first build homestudio. I know that i'd make a lot of mistakes, but that's ok, it was my first, and it is a few years old. 8) now i have some diagrams of the frequency response of the room and the reverbation time. do you think this is a good value? http://xs411.xs.to/xs411/07022/Frequnzgangmixposition.JPG reverbation time http://xs411.xs.to/xs411/07022/Reverbmikasmietshaus.JPG the hole at about 2k is my alesis monitor  thanks for your comments peace mika

wrong topic ???? when this is the reason of no comments, please move the thred to the right place peace mika :?:
Aloha mika, I've moved your post per your request. As far as "where are the pros?" my guess is that they are busy, as they often are. Hang in there and try to be patient. I'm sure someone will offer an evaluation of your test results. And if not, then politely "bump" your thread again. Aloha 8)
thanks kendale :D sometimes i'm not shure about thr right place and all because of my bad english  peace mika
What's the room's purpose. Is this the control room or live room?
its a controll room speakers are not flushmounted  this is the cause of a antiphaseproblem in the lows at about 79 hz and at 130hz. my worrys are about the reverbatin difference in the midfreq range. im not shure if this is a good mean value or too much differently peace mika
The entire reverb time looks really short to me; can you post more info on the room such as size, shape, what materials used where, etc? I would think everything played in that room would sound very dry, probably too much so. Generally a control room should be somewhere around .2 seconds and a live room anywhere from .3 to .5 seconds, depending on room volume and the type of music - classical tends to longer reverb times than pop, for example. It usually sounds fine if the low end has a slightly longer RT... Steve

Aloha mika, Are the side panels slat resonators, and could you post a clearer pic of them, please? Perhaps if you removed the foam from the surface of them, you could tailor the RT a bit. According to your drawing, you did finally treat the rear wall of the room, yes? Aloha 8)
aloha kendale nice to read you :D yes the side wall is a type of slatreso but built with wholes instead of slots. and yes i finally tread the rearwall with a european kind of 703 in 30 cm distance to the concrete backwall. how i said, it was my first project a few years ago  and sorry i can't post other pics because i have no camera :( but that's not the reason of my post. i just want to know, if this is a reverbation field, which ist good to work thanks for your intressting peace mika
so is the reverbation time good or not? is there a allowance in both directions ? peace mika
