im new to the whole studio constuction. i have a bedroom studio but i have found a place in a shopping center that i am thinking of converting into a studio. i will record alternative rock music (drums, guitars, etc.) i was wondering what would the basic things be that i would need to do to keep sound from escaping and having neighbors complain.
it is about a 30ft x 35ft building. with concrete walls. would i need floating walls how much room between old walls and new walls? etc. if anyone could help, i would really appreciate it
i have attached the floor plan of the building how it currently is and a plan of what i want it to look like.
need help!! studio in shopping center

If you start there, and follow each and every bold point I've made, you WILL get what you need to keep from making mistakes in your build that could cost you several TIMES what it should without giving you what you want - including a "checklist" of points you need to provide so we can help you sooner with less posts/time - thanks...
