Hi guys,
I’m considering seriously to hire a place for my studio, and make few training rooms attached to it. My problem is that there are too many ways to draw them on the paper, and I feel that there’s always some unused space in somewhere etc., I would like to use every square meter wisely...
What I need is:
- Control room, vocal/amp booth, maybe a drumroom, some kind of live room (maybe live end – dead end??), and some room for my mics, stands etc.
- 3-5 training rooms for bands and 1-2 of them for DJs
- Lounge/kitchen for hangaround ;-)
- Room to store my PA and lighting systems
What do you think, is that possible to have all those rooms in the space (158m2, abt 12x13meters)?
Facts:
On the left side there are neighbours that may not like the noise coming from my place, so I think there should be some heavy wall between us...
On the right side there is a warehouse, and behind that is some kind of shop, and they may not also like my musical way of life... some wall, eh?!
On the upper side there's nobody.
On the downer side the whole wall is made of glass. So maybe the lounge/kitchen should be there? I think nobody’s gonna kill me for musical noise from that direction.
This is the only floor, so there are nobody upstairs and downstairs.
The doors are both outside so there are no rooms behind them.
There are no walls in the space, there’s an open office at the moment.
It’s possible to move the toilet and the cleaning closet to some other place, but it would be very nice to have a toilet in the place your working ;-)
I’m not very loud in my control room, but the other rooms may be as loud as the rock  bands usually do.
After all: :?:
My budjet (it may change) is about 10 000€ for building the place up. I can do all the electricity and some building by myself. Am I realistic or not...? Too much / too little money...? The materials should be cheap but the result should be at least fine ;-)
Is that possible to have all those rooms in the space (158m2, abt 12x13meters)? If not, how big should the space be / what I can build in this 158m2 space? I’ve messed my head up with my drawings, I think none of them is good.
What would be the best setup for those square meters and/or the cheapest way to build it?
I’m a newbie here  , and I appreciate every piece of advice I got!
Respect,
