Hi Everyone,
I was wondering what software is used to create the colourful 2D floorplans that are presented on most "studios designed by John Sayers" pages (on the main website).
example.
So far I have been using MS-Visio, but I always look for better alternatives...
John? Anyone else?
Cheers,
Jon.
A quick question on 2D sketching.

Aloha and welcome to the forum, Jonesy :D
There have been primarily two programs being used as of late - Sketchup and Smartdraw.
Google offers a free version here: http://www.sketchup.com/?utm_campaign=e ... m=sketchup
Smartdraw here - http://www.smartdraw.com/specials/smart ... 5&id=35545
Aloha 8)
Thanks Kendale.
I've been using Sketchup since its version 3... Excellent programme.
I also have quite a few models of pro-audio equipment and acoustic-devices. If anyone is interested I'd be happy to upload them (if possible on this forum?).
I'll give SmartDraw a try for 2D stuff. It looks much nicer than Visio, and I saw there is a free trial version.
Thanks heaps,
Jon.
