Roxul RHT40 vs. RHF40

From what I can tell from info on this site and specs from the company, the only difference between these two products is the amount of bonding agent used. Can anyone confirm that they are interchangeable for use in bass traps, walls, etc... Thanks!

Yes, of course. RHF 40 RHT 40 Also, I've searched extensively on the site and elsewhere, and I'm unclear on what the MINIMUM recommended thickness of mineral wool is on either side on a double frame wall. I'm seeing a lot of people using 3" (76mm) on the inside of each leaf, between the studs. Since insulation seems to play a minor role in raising the STC of a wall structure (compared to sheetrock), is it better to go lower (2") and spend the extra money on more sheetrock? Thanks!
