hello, my name is akis i live in athens greece, recentlyI found out about your forum and I think you are doing an excellent job.Firstly i ll say that i am amateur in sound isolation and acoustic treatment so better take advice from the pros :P i have a room in the ground floor of a block of flats for playing drums and as you will undertstand the neighbours have problem with the noise,i would like to isolate the room as best as possible to use it for rehearshals with my band and bring guitar, bass, keybord amps (we play swedish death metal ) to rehearshe of course in hours not in common quietness :) i have attach the room details, we want to isolate all the room and give the bigest attention to the celing and the window because this is were the neighbours complain about.the goal is the isolation of the room and as much as possible better acoustics of space,we can spend about 600-800$ for that, what are your suggestions and advice ?.thank you

you are going have to build a room within a room construction to stop that amount of sound level. Fortunately you have the ceiling height to allow for this. cheers john
