Hi, We are thinking of constructing a section at our office just for music related activities. The objective is 1. Place where ppl can create music, jam and record as well. 2. Probably conduct music classes in it. 3. Have a sperate gallery/lounge where ppl can watch and listen to whats happening inside the studio or just listen to recorded music. The facilty should support a 3guitars+1KB+Drum+Vocals setup as well as Indian music(eg. tablas, harmonium etc). Challenges: 1. How do we include everything in once place and make the whole thing feasible enough 2. We have around 2000 sq ft of area. So how do we split this area up into having a core recording studio and smaller section for say individual instruments. 3. Facilitate multiple ppl playing different instruments at the same time but not disturbing each other..(Something like we have small sections where individuals can go and practice) 4 Can we have lounge/gallery where ppl can listen to music I have a drawing which was suggested by a building architect..but it was designed for orchestra. Any layout designs which would cater all these requirements would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wow thanks John.. The whole thing looks damn neat now.. Got a question.. Is it possible to reduce the size of the control room and a small gallery at the back where ppl can listen and watch whats happening inside the studio.. I dont have a lot of idea's as to how much space would be required for the control room.. But is it possible to fit in a gallery?? Cheers Ryan

Yes Ryan - I'd just have a raised back section so that students can see over the console into the studio. cheers john
