Hey Gents, I live in the sierras nevada mountains near Lake Tahoe, CA. I have a 2 level home built on top of the garage which is 31'x24'. The foundation is set into the mountain side so the back corner is of concrete construction 4 feet up with framed walls on top. I plan to build a room inside the garage. A 5 sided room 17x14 with a corner knocked off. I am also an avid 4 wheeler so my rig lives in the other side of the garage. The garage/studio ceiling is 11 feet high. I have an idea for a three room design with control room, iso booth, live room. However I am a drummer so I need room for a 5 pc kit and 3-4 pc band in the live room so an iso booth is not a must. My wife has requested that the room be heavily insulated from the living space above so I have roof trusses available to be used in the ceiling construction. I thought that I coould use hardee board on top of the trusses and sheet rock under with insulation in between. I made an attempt to model this space with google sketchup. I have attached a copy. Feel free to show your skill with sketchup! Go here to view photos of my home and projects. http://photos.yahoo.com/[removed]. Thanks for a great site, Jason
