Hi all. I'm finally wrapping up my control room which John and I worked out some years ago. The studio plan is attached. Just above the mix position is an enclosed steel beam shown in the drawing just behind the chair. It is bocxed in drywall, is about 10 inches in height and presents a mass for reflections back down onto the mix position. I'll attached a couple of photos in some additional posts.
Does anyone have any suggestions for treatments on the face of the beam to help minimize the reflections?

The beam is directly above the open space between the console and the rack in the attached pic.

The attached pic is taken from behind the console looking back at the rack. The blue across the top of the pic is the enclosed beam.
