Simple question... I have access to 1" thick 9 foot by 5 foot sheets, about 18 of them, for a little over 100 bucks. Though heavy as all get out... Should i go for it or use traditional gypsum??? These are very heavy but that works for me right??
1" MDF ????? SHOULD I USE IT?

Even though this may seem like a simple question there are way to many other variables you've not stated, which will help forum members, help you.
If this is a cost effective purchase for you and you understand, have planned out your construction completely... then arguably, debatably, perhaps, possibly go for it.

Apologies in advance for sarcasm,

Since MDF is about the same in mass as GB (800kg/m3) it'll be a waste NOT buying those HEAVY (1 inch.. whow) sheets for just that little money.
For the rest, follow the given links.
it is a simple question ---- if you consider the equilivant is 36 sheets of sheetrock it will be a fraction the cost and less work to install if you can ignore lifting the extra weight. If you want a finished wall add a layer of sheetrock over it. Just think, you'll never need to look for a stud again.
