Hey all i've scrapped my first post as i got advice on 1000 sq foot being to small for rehearsal rooms and a studio so i have found a larger space at 2500 square foot. Still in planning - worked out material costs today - we worked out 75 british pounds per meter - does this sound about right for - sheet of plasterboard / ply / 2x4 frame with insulation packed in air gap (more on this in a sec) 2x4 frame with insulation gypsum / plasterboard? Obviously that is for just the walls (ie no windows, doors ect) About the air gap - would it make any sense to instead of having an airgap between the outer walls to have a corridoor ? this would give maybe an air gap of 6 feet between the outer walls on the perimeter and access to each studio room without having sliding doors? John (if you read this :) ) - with your phone service what could be discused? - if i sent you a rough plan would we be able to go through it to some detail? Im also not sure whether my need for rehearsal rooms is widely discused in this forum - do you deal with them also? I have a 2500 sq foot unit and 10,000 british pounds to spend on the build! (plus 10,000 set aside for other stuff which would obviously be eaten into if need be!!!) Many thanks guys for the support - just got the mixing consol through today and its sat in my living room (leaving no floor space) - want to give it a good home as quick as i can! :) Cheers, Ed
That's very realistic pricing Ed - well done. Mate - today I'm cleaning cupboards and doing runs to the garbage dump :D I'm moving house. I shpuld be set up again with the adsl transferred etc by early next week - I'll post here when I'm back in action and I'll post the new phone number on the Phone Service page. I advise you to sign up to skype www.skype.com so we can talk skype to skype for free, plus we can transfer drawing files etc as we go. cheers john
