Hello all, I was wondering if anyone new how to calculate speaker placement in non-rectangular control rooms. My room has 8 walls. They are all at 90 degree angles. So it is kinda like two small rooms in one ,but each one has different dimensions. The room has one common wall that stretches the length of it. More easily said it is like one big rectangular room with a notch taken out of one corner. The entry way is in the room as well and creates a small cubby where the door is. So is there a software that can figure this out. It is getting tiring moving my mixing desk and speakers all around just guessing. THNAKS!!, Brandon

Thanks John, That is where I have been experimenting. I can get the freq response pretty flat no peaks or nulls greater than 4 db except for the lower spectrum. There seems to be a null at 108hz and 88hz depending on speaker position. Also The right speaker has a huge peak at 47hz which coincedently is where the roll off is set for the Mackie824s. The Left speaker however is pretty flat at that freq. Is that caused by a boundary effect or something...being in a corner? Any suggestions on wall construction for what you have suggested? THANKS, B
