im building this "room" from scratch in a 5000 sq ft area
i think i need advice for the room its self. there are no obstacles or any walls to start with as it is an industrial warehouse where i will be building a studio in a giant open space within the building...
Wow, sounds awesome! 8)
In relation to your angles quiz have you seen the SAE site?
In short 60 degrees speakers to you.
Soffits are 30 degrees from front walls
12 degree splay on CR walls?
(Senior members pls correct me if I am wrong here??!!!) :!: :?:
No parallel walls - well depends really doesn't it...
Try no reflecticve surfaces in CR.
1 x reflective surface in ISO.
Follow the path of sound in a line from speakers round to where it reflects and bounces....get rid of corners with traps..
If you open the protractor tool in sketchup you will see angles in my post's sketchup by John. I am sure there are other around - just spend a few hours/days like I did searching around here - you've come to the right place

For some reason when I first posted I didn't get much help from anybody but John - I suppose all the more senior members of the forum are too busy???
I will help where and when I can...
Cheers :D
