Concrete Floor Question

I did a search on this and didn't find an answer. Has anyone used concrete as there main room floor? My idea was to use stained concrete for the floor. On reason costs and the other because of the look of stained concrete. My main room is about 20x25. Anyone have any thoughts on this? thanks- Earl

I'm also planning on using the concrete floor of the basement (no floating or isolated slabs/floors) as the 'final' surface... On the concrete will be an MRB layer, and then some sort of finished concrete treatment, such as a stain or etching, with polishing and/or patterning... K
