I haven't been able to find a dedicated post for this, or a link in the reference area, so maybe it could be an idea to get all info on what type of lights to install in Control and Live room.
Apparently any fluorescent ligths should be avoided due to emitted radiation, but normal light bulbs don't deliver enough light when so needed.
Any ideas?
thx
Studio Lighting. What to look out for?

I'd like to tag along for the ride.
I am near the point of buying lighting.
I am considering track lighting or pendant lights (the type that hang down on a cord or chain) so that they will be below the surface of the ceiling absorber panels.
The problem I have is more light also equals more heat, so I am trying for the lowest wattage possible but spread out all over for visability.

Look at buying those energy saver lights . . . the flourescent ones that are shaped like regular light bulbs. They are about 4X more efficient, and thus put out a lot less heat per lumin if that's a concern. Most of them are coated now too, so they're not as harsh on the eyes.
