Hi All, I have been trying to find ratios that work for room that are short, but wide, as opposed to longer and narrower. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance
Many control rooms are made this way. Ratio's do not care which way they are oriented. They remain the same. Just make the longest ratio number the wide wall and go from there. Reflections off the rear wall become an issue to deal with in this type of room. be prepared to KILL that back wall or as Ive seen in many cases, diffuse the hell out of it. One of the big mix room at Masterfonics in Nashville is this way. Sounds pretty good there.... :) Often there is a great deal of trapping in these ceilings to take care of bass since you won't have a deep recess at the back of the room for trapping. -ashley
