There must be feasible way from acoustic designs point of view to mount new floating wall to the existing structure without compromising the effectiveness of the isolation ?????

Any reason you aren't using bracket to fix the walls to the ceilling ?
Mason industries has various isolation brackets, hangers, clips, and shock mounts... (it's all in Rod's book)... http://209.200.80.33/html/floating_floo ... ilings.htm And I believe Steve had designed an isolation bracket or two that can be made with light gauge steel framing and neoprene hose (I think?)... try a forum search....
Luftweg, Cheers I think those are the ones I was looking for! Orangenumerik, Doe you mean oridinary brackets? I'm not sure witch ones you mean... Thx
No ordinary bracket. You can do them yourself using an L shape piece of metal and some neoprene or EPDM rubber. Of course you could probably buy some already done and ready to use. Someone on this forum did very nice ones. Mine are not as good looking but they work. Check here http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewt ... 9970#49970 and scroll down completely. Regards
Cheers!
