So I'm building a control room and an iso booth for vocals and micing guitars in my tandem conc. slab garage. Trying to find out if my "Live room" (10'-0" x 8'-6" x 9'-3" high) is realistically big enough to track drums properly. Acoustically speaking, not physically. The control room would be 14' x 10'. Questons: 1.Would I be better off to forget about the drum tracking idea. 2.Any comments on this room layout? 3.Thinking of going with "quiet rock" instead of drywall for Live room. Anybody have any thoughts about weather this stuff actually works? 4.Are steel studs better suited for the room dividing walls than wood? 4.Any tips on ventilating this area? Thanks in advance for any info on these subjects Toba
