Hi, Im writing from Atlanta,GA and im interested in turning this room into a studio. I want to produce, mix and also record vocals in this room. The noise level is not much of a problem since I only have a mac mini running. There is also an option of making a vocal booth on the room next door but that room includes a bed and I dont know how that will work. Right now my gear consists of mac mini, mbox, midi keyboard and monitors. Therefore I will only be needing one desk and maybe a small sofa. The room is carpetted and the ceiling looks to be drywall. There is a window on the room but I cant afford to take it out or do anything to it. I dont have a high budget to do any construction, I just want to treat it so it can be acoustically pleasant to mix and record vocals in it. Is it better to separate the control room and the vocal booth? The room next door which happens to be my bedroom ( contains one nightstand and bed ) has similar dimensions. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!

Hey guys.. Well, Ive been looking around since posting and I found this design by John.. I just have a couple of questions.. In the design, John used hanger traps. Will that eliminate the use of bass traps on the corners? Also, I have a window where John used the slot resonators. How can modify that to my window? Any suggestions and add on to that design will be truly appreciated.
