Hi All I need some sugestions on the design for the studio. Because I have limited space at first I thought I should make the studio a one room studio, but I need a booth for some isolation and maybe Ive struck a good balance of space in this design! I am trying to design in skethup but due to lack of experiance its a very basic drawing! Do you think the space on the left is big enough to track drums? Its +/- 3.70mx3.10m I have rented the place so all the acoustic treatment will probably be removable! I have already made 2 wall units as specifide on this site and 6 Ethan Winer type bass traps.

Ive come up with another design based on one of the sample floor plans of a garage studiohere from the forums design section! What do you think?

I moved your thread to Design, should see more action; I know your title says what your location is, but you still need to follow the forum guidelines; found here http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4063 I'm currently, between work and OTHER work, only buried about 8 yards deep; hopefully John will see this and comment after you've updated your profile per the above link... Steve
Pardon my ignorance Steve! Thanks for guiding me in the right direction! :D I think I will wait to see if someone will comente on the designs that I have already posted before I ask more questions. By the way the floor is stone. The walls are solid, made of stone and muy (Old construction) about 60cm thick. The ceiling is concrete and about 3.5m high The building is in the countryside and far from anybody! Inside and outside noise is not an issue. In the drawings the boundry wall is what exists everything else has been aded by me.
Try something like this - and could you please resize those pics down to 700px wide. cheers john

Thanks for your time and input John! Unfortunatley I have to use only movable treatment, the space is rented, I can build a dividing wall and no more. If I build the dividing wall angled can the rest of the treatment be made up of 120cmx60cm panels mounted on the wall? The cieling is 3.5m high, must the treatment go all the way to the top? I will be using ceiling clouds. I have two sets of monitors,Ns10m and Alesis Monitor One, is it worth mounting the Monitor One´s in the wall? The Ns10m will be free standing on speaker stands!
