Hi there guys,
I was wondering if someone could help me with a design for my desk? I'm currently working on plans for my studio and i would also like to get a desk made. I know a good carpenter who said he'll be able to build it for me if i gave him the designs.
If anyone here can help me with a design i would greatly appreciate it.
Please find attached a pick of my current bedroom set up, yeah its small but its not going to be my proper studio. The proper studio will be in the new house, which is being renovated at the moment.
For your reference here is my gear list...
Dual Monitor (19" Sony G400) P4 3.0Ghz PC
1GB Dual Channel DDR RAM
M-Audio Oxygen 8 Midi Controller
M-Audio Radium 61 Midi Controller
Behringer B2031A Studio Monitors
Yamaha 01X Digital DAW controller
M-Audio Trigger Finger Drum Machine
Rode NT-2A Condensor Mic
I am going to buy some new monitors as well - Tannoy Ellipse 8's. I'm gonna be using these as my main monitors and my Behringer as a secondary pair for A/B comparison. I'm not sure how the desk would be designed to incorporate this. I was thinking maybe have the Tannoy's sitting on the desk and have the Behringers on stands?
My current desk is approx 2.5M in width and 1.1M in depth (excluding the pullout keyboard drawer) as for the height i have no clue :s I would like to keep the width roughly the same if possible. Also my Trigger Finger drum machine has its own stand now. The pic is pretty old, i dont have anything recent.
Any info/help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Kang.
UPDATE - I forgot to include a little extra info about what i want out of my desk...
I would like the mixer placed in a central position similar to the pic attached. Also if possible i would like a few rack slots so i can bang in my patch bays that i'm making.
I would also like a space left under the desk, preferably on the right hand side for my sound proofed PC cabinet which will be the "Acoustilok Gcab".
I think that should be it, if i think of anything else i'll edit the post... again :D
Cheers again.
Help with desk design please...

You should stand those behringers up and put them on pads
