I have a room that is 17 feet x 22 feet long and exactly 8 feet high. The walls on the 22 foot long sides go up 6 feet and are then angled about 45 degrees to the 8 foot height (see picture). The walls are finished sheet rock and the floor is thick carpet. I might consider a bamboo wood floor not necessarly for acoustics but for looks but could keep the carpet if it would be better. This will be one big room mostly for mixing. I expect I would place my board facing the window with curtins not sure exactly how far back. Is going sideways across the room an option? Are the angled walls/cieling going to help or hurt? Where and what should I add to this room for traps? Corner bass traps are going to be tricky to build if I need to go all the way up to the ceiling. I am not yet setup in this room but there is lots of echo when I sit in the "mixing" position and clap my hands.
