Sorry my version of Sketchup expired and the free one, last I checked, doesnt work on a Mac. Can you up a jpg for my viewing please.
A Floated floor is not a need (in all cases) if you are cutting drums, I;d consider it. If you are near an area with a busy throughfare, I'd consider it. All the other questions you ask (How to's) are answered in the construction forumsfloor to ceiling height is 7ft floor is poured concerete all walls except far left need to be built and sound proofed ( far left one is brick). questions have i layed it out right. do i need a floating floor. what acoustic products do i need. how do i soundproof /make the wall how do i sound proof the ceiling what material should i cover the floor in. many thanks 0.81
thanks for your help giles.:)
i think im gona go with the floor do you think 2-3 cm of neoprene? will do it thaen over this wooden laminate?
There are some basic defined methods of floating a floor. just laying down a sheet of neoprene is not effective as a floater. works good as a resonance dampener.
keep doing your research. I believe aaron has a long thread on his studio build with very good deatails of his floated floor.
thanks for all your help :D
cheers.
