Woodstock street studios - new studio build, Reading UK.
<p>
Hi there - we are building a studio in small warehouse in an urban residential (i.e. not quiet). We're looking to create a live room and recording room.
<p>
Dimensions - rectangle of 12metres by 7 Metres.
<p>
Building currently has uneven concrete floor, no foundations, stone walls to a height of 2m, then timber to height of 3m, then a corrugated alloy roof supported by thin wooden truss beams.
<p>
Have read many good suggestions on these pages but would like some advise on the sound proofing results based on using a floating concrete slab floor / a concrete floor using rubber or neoprene sheet.
<p>
Would also welcome ideas regarding roof / loft insulation for the roof.
<p>
Main goal is have sound proof live room of about 5m by 8m ( give or take some space depending on design / sound proofing).
<p>
All the buildings advice we have found locally differs wildly in price and design solution..... We have a budget of 55,000 USD.
<p>
All advice / suggestions welcomed.
<p>
Some pics of the warehouse should be included here.

And follow each bold item that applies, it may help some; you missed things like editing your profile, acoustics being 3-D, how loud are you/your neighbors, etc... Steve
