I'm planning to use resilient clips like these: http://www.professionalacousticsco.com/rsic_dc04.html But is there a good way to secure the angled frame to the non-angled concrete wall? At the furthest point, the concrete wall will be about 2 1/2 feet from the frame.
Didn't we cover this here? http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewt ... 8372#38372 If not, what am I missing? (for varying distances, just change the length of the horizontal 2x4 between the iso bracket and the wall frame) - If you're wondering about getting the angled wall to "line up" with the non-angled concrete, you can't. Just rotate the resilient bracket til the flat part is horizontal, then rotate your extended 2x4 between inner and outer wall til it's horizontal, fasten it to the underside of the top plate instead of the stud, and screw it to the bracket. This will allow several degrees of rotation without problems... Steve

We didn't quite cover it before.. but you answered my question now. My concern was having the clip drilled into the concrete on an angle... attaching it to the stud would have caused that to happen unless i used some sort of spacer on the study cut at an angle. But attaching it to the underside of the double top plate solves the problem.. you rule! :D
