I am try to build a 4x4 7 1/2 Booth. I want it completly sound proof i was wondering if any one had any blue prints on how i can build it. I also want to know exactly what materials i will need and a estimate on how much it would cost.Thank you
Hi: I'm not an 'in the know' person on this forum... But I just wanted to say to make sure you are VERY detailed in your questions, and, very importantly, to follow the advice and admonitions of the 'stickies' and 'before you post' messages... Otherwise, people who ARE 'in the know' may likely not respond to your questions.... (i.e., understandably they don't have time to 'fish' for needed info in giving advice). If you did this already, then please disregard my post.... K

Does it need to be "KNOCKDOWN"? Which means you can disassemble it and move it? fitZ
Nevermind, if it DOES need to be knockdown, here is a somewhat detailed thread I posted at Homerecording.com, although once the person realized how HEAVY this was going to be  , he gave up on the idea because his room was on a second floor...amongst other things. If you can wade through the bull, you'll find enough info to build one, although some here may disagree with certain aspects. AND, its never been tested. But what do you want for free? http://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread ... ight=booth fitZ
There is no such thing as a "completely soundproof" booth... At least, not by the strict definition of the word "completely." No "soundproofing" is perfect. No matter the construction, it is always possible to generate noise in the "soundproofed" area that will leak out. You need to explain what it is that you intend to use the booth for (i.e., how loud it will be in there, and what the nature of the noise is) and what level of noise will be acceptable outside of the booth. The difference between those levels dictate the amount of soundproofing you will need. --Keith
Thats wierd...when I posted the last reply, there was ONLY one  hmmmm....sorry...don't know what happened.
Got rid of your extra post Rick, no prob; guys, when mjofrap23 comes back and decides to follow the forum guidelines (location, etc) we can help some more... Steve
