Hi, I am dealing with the treatment of the sound in my control room. The room is rectangular 7,7m X 3,6m and I am orientating the monitors in the sens of the longest dimension (7,7m). In front of the monitors, the wall I am facing looks like this:

My problem is that if I want to put some corner bass traps, I will only be able to put it on the left side of the room as on the right the door leading to the studio is right against the wall. My question: will it unbalance significantly the sound reflection coming back from the wall if I only put a corner bass trap on the left, breaking the symmetry ? I will put a bass trap right below the see-through opening and the ceiling will be absorbing and coming downwards up to the top of it. I wonder in that case if I should do a bass trap corner. Thanks for your input. Alex
Assymetry is just fine for low end treatment. I have the exact same issue in my room and it is a non-issue.
Thanks !
