i asked some time ago for a few tips on my garage, but get no answers, must have made something wrong..
but ok, i read a lot and tried out a lot of things and came up with a plan.
i have to say that the space isnt really large (about 3x5,55meters) , so i dont see a chance to get a vocal booth in there, but i think its ok when i use the CR for recording (mainly voice and a bit acc-guitar) and put my e-guitar speaker in the attic, that would be fine.
a few problems i have: theres one hatch to the cellar in the rear left corner, so i have to put something moveable there. i thought about two corner traps (ref http://www.johnlsayers.com/HR/index1.htm) that can be moved if necessary. on the mid rear wall i wanted to put a rear wall absorber, also in the front of the room. there will be corner traps on the front side too, but they can rest there
i think this will work, as the corner traps will be tuned to about 150Hz.
the left and right angled walls have an angle of about 6°, i use 12.5mm plasterboard on wood slats for them, the space behind is filled with glasswool.
the floor is laminate on concrete with some isulation (called stepsound-isulation here), the ceiling is uncovered by now (the room height is only 2,35meters, i dont want to make it even lower) but i plan to make a could over the mixing position in the future.
oh and just to mention, the three bars on the ceiling are for the lights, they will be made of plasterboard filled with glasswool.
so far so good, my question is, have i made any big mistakes or is there a really far better solution for this room?
i should say that im on a budget so the costs shouldn extend 1000euros if possible (for now im at about 900 with my plan).
thanks
this design any good? (garage; sketchup)

That looks fine Bob - I'd extend the window into the room so you have some natural light.
cheers
john
thanks!
im glad its not that bad, i think i made the best out of it
with the window, i will think about that!
its just that theres not really a good view (our house is about 4meters straight in front of it) and so there wont also be as much sun from this side..
but perhaps i try it!
