Hi Everyone
This is my first post- I'm building a studio in Swindon UK.
6m by 5m and up to 3 and a half metres high is the only space I can use.
Going to replace an existing single garage and build a double one from the floor up. Is there a particular type of concrete block that would be best for building the shell?
What can i do at this stage- damp proofing etc to ensure less problems later on when i build the inner rooms
Thanks in advance for your help

Try to avoid hollow concrete block or any construction that will give you an end result of a triple leaf. You want your end construction to be a doubel wall = "Mass Air Mass".... you do not want another "Air and Mass" as that will provide less sound isolation. Typically your inner MASS will be a 2x4 wood stud wall with layers of drywall (gypsum board). If you can a solid pour concrete wall 6" or more thick, may be the best option OR if you go with hollow concrete blocks you can fill all the cavities with concrete, sand or expanding close cell foam. However what you actually do will have to be within guide lines of your local building code. MarcIs there a particular type of concrete block that would be best for building the shell?
