I have a rented studio space, that is already pretty goof as far as isolation goes. No neighbor on one side, a neighbor on the other. I used this as a practice space for a few years and never any complaints from the neighbors.
I already did some sealing of doors and windows. This cut down on the noise outside quite a bit. Outside noise isn't much of a porblem anymore.
Now my only issue is the wall between the control room and tracking room 2. When I track drums in track room 1, there are no issues. But Lately I have been liking the sound of track room 2 for drums.
My only problem is that there is very little isolation between live room 2 and the control room. Plus there is an opening between the rooms.
I am in a rented space, so I probably can't knock down the walls and rebuild. I may be able to add on and cover the opening by adding on a wall and door.
I don't have a budget. I will spend the cash I need to get the job done, but I just can't do anything destructive to the property.
I guess I could knock out the wall and rebuild like it was the same, but i still think this may cause some problems with my landlord.
IS there any non-destructive means by which I can do this? After reading alot of posts, my first inclination is that it can't be done, but i am open to suggestions.
And the drawing is not really to scale, but I included the dimensions. All ceilings are 12 feet high
