Ok, I am hoping I am somewhat on the right track. I have an unusual shaped room in which the ceiling is 7' 6" high. There is an opening at the back of the room that opens into a 1000 sq ft vaulted great room (6' X 6' 9"). I am planning on either leaving it open, or using heavy/acoustic curtains - or possibly putting a sliding door there.
Hopefully all the measurements are in the picture. The angled walls are the ones I plan to add. Not sure if I should soffit mount my monitors or not yet. I plan to use the extra space on the righthand side to house a built in rack set-up, as well as housing the computer behind a closeable access door.
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Am I on the right track?

Having a glass sliding door at the rear of the control room will create problems with rear reflections.
I'd turn it around like this.

What if I just leave it open in the back? Or use a heavy curtain? I don't really need a booth, and I have a fairly wide console (90").
I do all my tracking from the great room - this would be just a control/mixing room.
Thanks John.
Then I'd turn it around so you have visual to the great room and proper rear trapping.
The console is 7' 6" long to scale.

OK, I think I almost have it. I want to be able to move the treatments to a new location eventually, and be able to restore the current room after I leave. I saw this thread -
http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewt ... sc&start=0
and was quite inspired. I can build the soffit/basstraps and the rear corner bastraps - that will be "modular" and be removable. Then, I will just have to build two angled wall with studs/drywall, and put a rear trap against the back wall. (and cover the door with a 703 trap as well. The door will have a window in it for tracking (whicjh I don't do a whole lot of), and I can build a 703 "pillow" to hang over the door. All the 4" 703 will be hung with an air gap behind it.
Does anybody see any problems with this design?
Thanks!
