Bearing in mind the above rave now consider the original plan I proposed.
1. it gives an entrance area where people can wait, chill out, whatever before they are involved with each studio. The entrance has direct access to each work space and the whole unit is selfcontained within the initial available space.
2. The smaller studio is isolated from the main studio, by the the main control room. It doesn't matter so much if a control room leaks to another control room as it would another control room leaking to the studio.
3. the high ceiling area above the entrance allows for aircon units above a standard ceiling to feed ducts to both control rooms and down the hall to the main studio.
you could achieve that - that's real ;)

NEW STUDIO DESIGN CHALLENGE!

Thanks for the feedback, John.
You make some very valid points about cost with the iso requirements on my last design. Due to your comments and further feedback from our team, much has changed since I last posted and the design is now radically different. Check out the idea below.
Also, the project has stalled due to busy schedules and logistics. That may change shortly though as I may actually get paid to head up the build out. I'll keep you posted.
Let me know what you think of the new design.
Good day Old Dog, what are the dimensions of your new proposed plans? Your new control room, iso booth, and studio? This info would benefit alot of readers of this forum! :D
Thanks, Michael
Ah... sorry 'bout that. I've been adding bits along the way and not checking to see what I've included - or left out. The original proposed space (from my original drawing) was roughly 36' x 24'. Blowing out the hallway on the left adds an additional 4 1/2' x 10' for the iso booth and the area for the second control room adds an additional 9' x 13.' This brings the total square footage to 1026 sq/ft. The drawing is all to scale (1' = 1/4") but it had to be shrunk to fit the space requirements here. Hope that helps.Good day Old Dog, what are the dimensions of your new proposed plans? Your new control room, iso booth, and studio?
