Just a little note to let you know your presence was missed my brother. It just goes to show sometimes there's that special "link" in the chain that helps keep it all together.
Welcome back! :)
I'd also like to say thanks to all of those people who were helping others while you were away.
Thank-you to all of you!
(And ya'll know who you are!)...

You callin' me a "missing link"??!?
Seriously, thanks for the kind words; most likely I'll be in and out like this all summer, probably longer. I'll try to check in every few days tho, and if anyone's in a pickle please PM me so I don't miss you, and include a LINK to your thread so I can find it quicker.
All I have to do is dig 180 feet of 6" trench for power to my shop, finish replacing two walls of same, pour a 12x48 slab (finishing the 36x48 floor) pour an apron at the entrance, wire everything, extend the site-built trusses so I can remove two more interior poles, tear out my old studio, mount all my old and new power tools on casters, build about 50-60 kitchen cabinets, convert my garage into a living/family room, convert my living room to a kitchen, convert my kitchen to a laundry/pantry, tear out some walls/closets between two bedrooms for a (temporary) 1-room studio which will eventually become Master bedroom, enclose the front porch (after pouring footings under/beside the existing slab), tear out the front entryway and add that space to what's used for 2 small bathrooms, build two larger bathrooms, replace all the siding and insulation for the entire house, build an enclosable carport out front...
Then I can start on my real studio :? , being designed from the inside OUT with a probable max size footprint of about 40x60 feet, to be placed 4 feet from the house, here... Steve
Oh yeah, did I mention I just turned 61 last Sunday??!? (Can somebody remind me how to spell "boredom"? Kinda fergot...)
Steve, seriously -- I'll bet if you asked for volunteer assistance on these projects of yours, you'd get a lot of takers (or, rather, "givers"). You have been so generous with your time on this forum. Donating money to the cause is great (and I obviously encourage everyone to do so!), but what you need is time and I would think the only way you'll get extra time is if you have less work to do on your own projects (meaning, some helpers!).
Imagine... Instead of a barn-raising, a studio-raising! ;-)

) and hopefully a slamming KNIGHTFLY STUDIO THREAD with lots of PICS. I can relate to the pre-studio work but in my case, my other projects are not as large as yours.
I know myself and am sure a few other forum members would love to be kept updated with your progress on “the other projects” with pics of work actually being done. That way we’ll know you are lurking over us and we can grow in anticipation of your eventual studio thread (with the 3 foot wide walls, please don’t disappoint us).
And Steve, again I thank you for your contribution to this forum. I visit this forum daily, almost every time I check my email and if it wasn’t for your posts (Knightfly’s current stats on this forum = 14.29% of total / 5.27 posts per day) then this forum would not be the absolutely the best source of info for DIY home studio construction.
Guys, thanks again; somewhat in order - Keith, I'd love to have some help but I'm not sure just how practical the idea is; the house is small and cramped (hence the changes) so we don't even have a place for guest to stay over, and we're about 15 miles from the nearest motel - my schedule is (as you know) not only weird, but fairly evil  and I'm (half the time) not even sure which project I am (or should be) working on, so I'd probably be a lousy "foreman" - still, I really appreciate the thought.
Marc, yes that's a real list; but only the major projects and I think a few of those are even missing
Yup, been lurking a bit now and then, but (like now) I tend to go til I can't find the energy to type, much less think - it's easier to just move a mouse :?
Today I sprayed roundup (weeds taking over my expensive gravel, blackberry vines on fences, etc - got about half done, went through 50 gallons of spray, takes almost 1-1/2 hours just to properly CLEAN my spray rig after (roundup is NASTY on pumps, seals, etc, you need to use special solvent after and continually flush, then repeat twice with water, flushing the entire boom and nozzles, etc) - see the pix below, built most of this myself custom to fit my JD mower -
Sorry for the ramble, but SOMEBODY asked for it  Gotta go unload my van, got a planer with stand, in/outfeed tables, roller tables, newer bigger band saw, cast iron router table, DeWalt 3-base router kit, panel bit set, rolling bases for all, been in the van since 3 days ago  Later... Steve
I never thought I'd say this, but that's got to be the coolest Roundup sprayer I've ever seen.
There are advantages to living on an 1/8-acre lot... Here's the Roundup sprayer I use:
I totally missed that!
I baked a cake for you...
