Man, I keep tellin' you... Run your hands under warm water and lather up with lots of liquid soap! Ohhhh, wait -- you mean take those extra tubes of acoustic sealant! ;-) Yeah! PM me and let me know your schedule. We'll break bread in Auburn or something. I'd love to see how everything turned out. I'm sure your clouds will inspire me. :)BTW, Keith, you gotta come up and get this caulk off my hands...

Also, I just put a post in the Building Materials forum with some neoprene strips I ordered wrong... good for mounting studio windows. I ordered white, not black. So, if you don't care, pick it up cheap!
Finally getting caught up here ... looks great Stick, very cool that I got to see it in progress and now the finished pix.
Thanks Dan,
I'm really happy with the rooms... I even cut a drum kit in the little tracking room the other day. Didn't sound great, but the kid's kit was pretty lousy. The overheads sounded pretty good though.
If you're ever coming by here, be sure and let me know and swing in... it looks even better in person. HA!
ooooooh. Very nice. Does the hida-bed add to the absorption of the CR?
BTW, what are you using as an interface?
You bet it does. Normally those Murphy Beds are built into a cabinet with a wood panel on the front/bottom. We modified it and made that panel slats, and then put the fabric panel to hide it, but let the sound through. I'm using Protools HD3 Accel with the 96 i/o interface. At some point I need to upgrade the converters, but for now it's working fine.ooooooh. Very nice. Does the hida-bed add to the absorption of the CR? BTW, what are you using as an interface?
Thats quite an interesting idea, with the hida-bed.
Looking at the 192 i/o?
I don't know on the interface. I rarely use more than a couple inputs, but need to have them available... so maybe I'll do a good two-channel for in and out and keep the 96 for the rare occasion I need to track drums.
Just get a MOTU 8pre.
Has Firewire, MIDI, ADAT I/O. Only downside is all clocking is done via ADAT In.
I don't need pres. Just better A/D conversion. And based on the price, my 96 i/o is about 4 times the quality of that box.
Apogee AD-16x then.
I second that, Dan. The pictures really don't do it justice! 8) --Keith :mrgreen:If you're ever coming by here, be sure and let me know and swing in... it looks even better in person. HA!
For sure. You should've seen it the other day with a whole band and a drum kit crammed in the tracking room. Good times.
And actually, the last couple nights have had a different band all sleeping in here... 3 in the control room and 1 in the tracking room. The shower comes in quite handy.
Stick, you've inspired me. I can DO THIS!
