i am moving to a new location. the space is very unique. there is a street level entrance to a room 20 by 36 with 16 foot ceilings and a 3 inch cement floor. all the walls are brick and sand blasted. you go down the stairs and directly below is the same deal with 9 foot ceilings. then you go thru a door, and there is another room {separated by double brick} on a separate cement foundation with about the same room dimensions give or take a little. here is the catch, the second room ceilings then go up 25 feet. all walls are double brick. there is already a window hole cut out looking down into the this space from the street level space.
i have no plans to build out rooms within a room as i like the vibe of the brick and loft feel.
what is the story on the acoustic nature of brick. i know it's live, but i also know it is not as live a drywall.
any thoughts on this where acoustics are concerned.
