I've been looking for a way to wire my live room/iso/and control room in the easiest possible way. Right now I have the studs up and electric installed and I need a way to connect these three rooms with audio. I need two wall plates with 12 XLR inputs/outputs and 6 TRS inputs (live room to control room), in a wall plate and have a snake cable run through the wall and have another wall plate on the other side with the corresponding outputs. The other two plates are for the ISO and the live room. For those I would need 4 XLR inputs and 4 TRS.
My idea is to have these plates surface mounted, and have the backs of them use a single cable to attatch the two. This cable would be able to be unplugged and plugged in again. This would allow me to put up the drywall then only drill a hole for the cable attaching the two plates and plug the cable into the rear of the plates to connect them. Is this 'plug n' play' idea possible? If so, where should I go to get it built?
-Thanks,
Jeremy

Yes, this should work for you. I suggest you call a sales representative at Sweetwater Sound (www.sweetwater.com) they have a 1-800 number. They will take your plans and make the plates and wire them or let you solder them when you receive them. Give them a call.
