http://www.asiproaudio.com/green_earth_friendly.htm Plz, look at 'Noise S.T.O.P.™ SoftSounds™ High Performance Acoustical Cotton Insulation - No Fiberglass' Could i replace oc703 or 705 with that? i saw in this forum a thread about that there is a alternative stuff which can replace 703 but don't cause itch i can't remember the stuff's name and where the thread is
How much does that stuff cost? If it performs the same as 703, but is twice as expensive, it doesn't sound worth it to me. Fiberglass insulation only causes a temporary itch while you're handling it. The itch is caused by the tiny glass fibers actually cuting your skin. Those tiny cuts transfer a feeling of itchiness to your brain, but it's not any kind of allergic reaction. If you wear long sleeves while working with insulation you shouldn't have any problems. Once you've got it wrapped with cloth there's no danger involved with having it in your living space. I'm just a litle hesitent in using a material that isn't tried and true.
Also see sticky in this forum: Health Risks For Mineral/Fibreglass Products? I agree with Sonic. We need to know the price. Also try a search on this web site to see if anybody has discussed this product before, I would but I don't have the time right now to do a proper search. Marc
