Hey everyone, first of all, i just wanted to say, that this site, and, others like recording.org, are such an unreal resource. I have to admit, i lurked for a couple of years, before, i felt i was ready to move on and get some real studio space, and, to use everything i have learned here, and put the info to work.. One thing, i notice though, is people ask the same questions over and over, its like they dont even bother to search, or read the threads. I mean, i think i have read every post in every area, and before i think about asking a question, i do a simple search, and get the answer. Its really alot easier as well, and quicker. 92.5% of the time, your answer, has already been asked and answered. I think we should save the posting, for room demension specifics, or very specific questions. And to make, sure that we read the information required before posting, like where your from, measurements, all of that stuff...... I just think its fair guys, to do the best to search out your questions, and, really think about what you are posting before you do it. These guys here, are top notch pros, and, if you had to pay them, 25.00 a question, i can garuntee, that you would not ask, how do I make a corner bass trap.? So, just wanted to comment on that. I recently, got some serious advice from david french at recording.org, and, he was there for me, 100% and, to get the knowledge, that he gave me for free, would have costed an arm and a leg, from a hired acoustic technician. trust me. Thanks guys, for all of this information on this site. Its such a good read, and, I could never get enough, of the studio before and after pics, and it has inspired me, to get my studio to that level, i will be sure to post up some pics, of the instructional bass traps that i have built based on the information that i have learned here, recording.org, Rod, John, Steve, David French, and all of the mods, that do such a great job, helping the little guy make better tracks. You guys rock. I am going to grab a tissue, and, cuddle, with my teddy bear now. Later.
AT, Great post! > if you had to pay them, 25.00 a question, i can garuntee, that you would not ask, how do I make a corner bass trap.? < Excellent. My standard price to answer that particular question is now $25. Thanks for the idea. 8) --Ethan
Hey ethan, i forgot to include you in the list of names i had going up there. sry.....! Cause, i think i have read about 20 threads, where someone is asking about traps, and, you say the same, thing, about doing a search, and, pointing them to your articles.....lol You should be able to retire, by this time next month, with your new fees.. ha ha.....
