I had been using 2' x 6' x 4" OC 703 panels for treatment of my small room. I wasn't real happy with the huge bass "suck" in my monitoring area. So... following the advice and info on this site, here is what i did: - Super chunks in front corners. Floor to ceiling, 3' 4" wide. - Super chunks in closet in back. Only 2 feet high, sitting on floor in closet tri corners. - Broadband absorber at wall/ceiling intersection in closet. - Freestanding 6' high x 2' wide x 4" deep OC panels on side walls, and one in back left corner. - I made sure that both monitor woofers (and the genelec sub) were not in nulls (horizontally or vertically) - My ears are at 48" in an 8' room. This is a vertical null, but not much I can do about it. I did all test measurements at 48" (ear height) from floor I have NOT done a cloud yet, and plan on adding a few more corner absorbers at wall/ceiling locations. First thing i did after moving all the treatment in was fire up some music and HEY! I can hear the bass! While the bass was certainly heavier at the walls, the middle of the room was OK. And most importantly, the bass at mix location was good! Below are images of room and treatment. Note the room is 8' high, so I have terrible problems at the 4' level where the ear is for monitoring (yuck!) See next message below for ETF BEFORE and AFTER results!!!

And now - the ETF before and after results!!! The first image is location X1 BEFORE treatment. The rest of the images are after treatment at different locations (see image above for X1, X2, X3, and X4 room locations). The readings were all done at 4' heigth (ear location). I still have a few broadband absorbers to install at wall/ceiling locations and a cloud. Comparing the before image, and seeing the results other have been achieving, I think the results so far are extra ordinary. Not sure how to treat the 100hz dip, but worst case, I just lean back a little to get my ears into that X3 location :D What do you think?????

In this image, I overlayed the before and after results. I am listening to some Tori Amos right now, and am just blown away with how much better the bass now sounds in this room. Thanks to all the folks here at this forum. You made music fun again :D :D :D :D
