Soffit Mounting, Did i do something wrong????

So here's some pics... sorry for them being so dark, my digital camera dont like the lighting in the studio. please notice the serial nr 001 SC2 from barefoot below.. :D cheers mike

thanks... Dont know what kind of wood it is, sorry. got it dirt cheap though. :) I'm really happy with the room, it sounds an looks great. Thanks you guys for all of your help making it happen, especially Thomas, John and Steve.!!! cheers /mike

Does anyone have the pictures from this thread, as they do not appear for me:S I am considering soffit mounting some Adam ANF 10's later this year, but I may consider other monitors if the design makes it too difficult, so was wondering if anyone else had similar experience with non-flat fronted monitors? Thanks, Gareth

I think that Barefoot has discontinued that model. But you could write to him at his website: http://barefootsound.com/ ... and ask if it is still available, or which of his current models best replaces it. - Stuart -
Generally, in most rooms, free standing speakers are surrounded by walls/ceiling/floor that will generate reflections. These surfaces act as acoustical mirrors to the speaker's radiation, enhancing or cancelling the direct sound, depending on the phase difference between the reflection and the direct sound where you are sitting.
