my garage studio

Hello, I have read for several hours on here and other places, and I just wanted to run my plans by everyone and ask a few questions. I am buying a new house and there is a 20x26 foot garage in my backyard. The garage is in disrepair, so I believe I will demolish it and have a new one built. I am thinking of having it built with just one door, and a bit taller so I put in a floating floor. My budget is around 8,000 realistically, and the primary function of the studio will be band rehearsal. I also want to start doing recording, so I'm not sure if i want to build a control room yet or not. The main goal right now is to isolate as much sound from leaking into the outside world as possible, for those 3am writing sessions. I have a LOUD drummer, and two marshall half stacks that definitely need isolated. I plan on building a "room within a room" and a floated floor. Here are some questions.. 1. what's the best approach for the cieling. If i get a garage kit and DIY, would insulating and drywalling the roof's interior, then putting in a cieling and insulating it work basically the same? how would I be able to do this AND isolate it fromt he outer structure? 2. what is the best ac/heating solution in laymen's terms? I really really need both, i'm not 100% worried about sound levels inside at this time but i CAN'T have a leak. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on this and then still have a 10am-10pm practice space, becuase my band is going to start practicing 4-5 nights a week in preperation for album work/touring. I still definitely want to get some recording equipment, but I believe I can handle doing most of the work all in one room. Anyway I hope I didn't ask any questions that were severely annoying, and any help would be amazing. My stomach is all churning in knots about how much this will cost and even if it will pay off in the end. Thank you for your help, this has been by far the best resource for the information i have needed. oh p.s. would it be smart to build the floated floor, then build the interior walls on that? and would using neoprene at the top to fill the gap work as well?
Ben - if you are going to start from scratch I'd build a scissor truss roof on your new garage. SEE attached pics. This allows you to have a higher ceiling that's angled. cheers john
