I'm finally starting to get my control room window finished up! I completed the walls over 5 years ago!!!!! Seriously, it has taken me that long to get this far. I started using the control room for recording over a year ago, hence all the equipment in there.
I just thought I'd show you guys these pictures. The reason the wall is SO thick is because there's a support beam between the walls, which added 7 inches, and then the two walls couldn't really touch that, so they're an inch away from it. When everything is said and done the wall is 22 1/2 inches thick. I've got some quotes for glass so I'm finally getting the sills in place.

Getting each one of these pieces perfectly level was quite a challange, considering I was pretty careless when I framed the walls.
I made the sills out of 5/8" MDF, and since it's not very pretty I'm going to be putting wood veneer everywhere the sills are going to be visible. They'll be about 7 inches visible on the bottom (I haven't done the calculations yet for the angle of the glass to figure it out exacly), and then the angle going up the sides. I'll stain the veneer the same color as the trim work. It'll look sweet!
I'll keep you guys updated on the progress.
