What you do is amazing... You make people so happy :D
Been reading and learning so much for a week now...Really helped me change my thoughts of simply putting some Auralex panels and feel good about it....
So, i need some help too, i am making a small home studio in the floor under my house. The sizes are L:=20.86, W:= 11.90 and H:= 8.
I ve tried to make a draft sketch, love to have your opinion about it too.
The goal is to have good sound to write music (mostly electronic) and mix properly.
Thank you!
can i get some help too...

Aloha and welcome to the forum! :D
Nice drawings! Any chance you could:

This is very important, because this is a worldwide resource, and as such, material costs and availability vary widely. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.
Thank you!
Sorryyyyy.... Just edited my location! Yours better though ... :)

Aloha,
Hey, no worries! Thanks for editing your profile so quickly.
How are your walls, ceiling constructed/what materials?
Aloha 8)
Hey....i should thank you Mr Kendale! And everyone here sharing all this valuable knowledge...
The perimeter walls are 1,30 ft (40 cm) solid concrete except the vocal booth which is double 2 x 1/2 inch gypsoum walls with double 2" (50mm) heavy density mineral wool insulation (data on http://www.geolan.gr/en/pdf/GEOLANB-051.pdf ) and 2" space between the walls (still under construction. Need finish the windows and door).
A problem is that i have neighboords on the side walls (the 20,80 sides) and thinking of making first a room within the room with single and shaping using double gypsoum single wall with the same insulation with 1" space to avoid annoying that much :D
Thank you!
Aloha,
He mea iki! (You're welcome - Thanks Keith  )
Truth of the matter though, I am only a fellow student forumite, and as such, we are quickly approaching the boundries of my current studies and experience, most notably in this area! There is hope, however. In the interest of obtaining the isolation you need from disturbing your neighbors, it would serve you well to search and study posts on the mass-air-mass(or m-a-m/M-A-M) principle.
Here's a good place to start: http://johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic ... assairmass as well here: http://johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/search.php?mode=results
Also attached are STC ratings for various construction techniques: http://www.stcratings.com/assemblies.html#01
Hope this helps,

Ok thanks... Mass air mass...
The vocal booth is made with the stc 63 technique. I think i can manage isolation.
Do you have any other suggestions about the control/main space for the acoustics or proceed building the walls as i did on the sketch?
Forgot to mention that the current status is as is on studio2 pic. The descriptions are not there!!! Studio 1 is how i am thinking of making it.
Thank you - Mahalo nui loa!
