Greetings everyone. Longtime reader first time poster here. I've finally gotten my space in the basement to build my Studio and I need some help with the design layout of the space be it control room and Iso booth or just a big live control recording room. I'm very handy so I'm going to do most of the work with the help of my brother who is an Electrician. I have a fairly good knowledge of how to build walls, ceilings etc. thanks to you in this forum, great work. Hope the Photo explain the area. Anymore info needed please let me know
Thanks

Daniki, you need to re-read (and follow) this

more thoroughly, so we know what else you need and a LOT more about what you already have... Steve
Greetings
Ok, I’ll be more specific. The area for the Home basement Studio is W 8.57” on one side and 14.3” on the opposite side * L 18.3” * H 7.8” as per the drawing. This is just the layout of the space available to me. The Iso both is not built yet. What you see in the drawing is what I came up with as far as the layout is concern (placement of mix board, Iso Booth etc, etc.) The ceiling and floors are unfinished. The walls are already constructed but will need additional treatment as far as sound transmission is concerned, as they have insulation with just one layer of sheetrock.
My neighbors are not a problem as they are few and distance away, closest one being 200 yds. But, I will still like to keep the sound levels down so as not to disturb the rest of the house, especially at night.
I am just about getting ready to start building and was hoping you could help me to utilize the space as a Studio.
How should I layout this space to get a Control room and an Iso Booth for at least three people? Could I get a drum kit in there? That might be pushing it huh?
This will be used as my private project Studio so I want to get this right from the start, so as to lessen some of the Sound problems found in small Studios. Budget, I’ll say between 2000 to 3000us
Hope this helps more??
Thanks
