Hi, I'm in a fix recently to construct a studio from scratch. I've got a relatively small space, and the dimensions are as follows in the floorplan as follows (sorry I'm new to Sketchup, so it may be rather ugly):

The ceiling is 308cm high. Due to the constraints of the size, I don't think I can afford the luxury of constructing non-parallel walls. I've thought out of something as follows:

My jobscope involves mainly band-recording, but I also do a little bit of post-production work, thus explains the TV in front of the sofa (they're NOT for playing Playstation ;) ). As shown from the design, the control room is a rather cramped place. I've thought of using the Live Room as the CR instead but in that case, you would have to walk through the LR to reach the CR. I've tried to think of all possible ways to create a bigger control room space but to no avail. Can someone please show me the light? Thanks!
Here's the skp file...

Reorienting your CR diagonally to the SE corner of your diagram will allow a small vocal/ISO booth and a small drum room. And will solve potential ingress egress issues, albeit with a narrow corridor...
