Treatment behind the speakers.

The original plan was to soffit BM6A's but after reading many warnings concerning heatproblem (though Bryan Giles told me about a soluten for that) and acoustical problems (one even coming from Dynaudio), and not finding anyone who actually soffit mounted these I think it's too risky to go ahead with soffiting them. So now I'm considering a different approach! Attached are 4 designs, all with deep trapping behind the speakers. Will they sound considerably less than the soffited approach? Or just a little? And of the 4 designs, which one is best? I'm also wondering if the 50 degrees angle in the first design isn't too narrow. The treatment in the back of the room already exists. The yellow stuff is 80mm thick Isover Sonepanel, a material very similar to 703.

# 3 or 4 is fine, however you need a solution to deal with the early reflections from the sides of your room. Based on the fact that you may be approaching things from this direction I think you should go the the Wall Units section of this web site.....
Well I have room for the big deep traps in the first and second design. Isn't more trapping always better? :) I'll check out the wall units! I'm really interested what people think of the 50 degrees angle.
Dont over trap your room, it will be too dead and false....
