I have a couple of questions about these bass trap products. My Local (Portland Oregon) acoustic retail store has told me that these products are about to see a rather large price increase. So I'm considering adding these to my basement studio that I'm building in my basement (17 x 12). I'm not an expert handyman so making something like this would take a bit of time. Will a LENRD with a 1" 703 layer in front of it in the corners be worth the money ? I'd appreciate any thoughts on this siince I have about 2 days to act before the price increases happen. Thanks for any thoughts ! -John Lehmkuhl
In Short... Nope!!!!! I had a bunch of em. Gave em away cuz they just werent worth the money.
You don't need to be a handyman. Building absorbers is about as easy as anything you could ever do, and WAY cheaper than foam.
Yes very easy and. Average set of lenrds $100.00 for one corner. Average amount of wood and insul mayb 50 bucks per corner. Heck a 2x4 frame and some 1.20/yard fabric, AFB and you have a nice absorber.
