Hey folks! I have a Small room, say 11' x 9' x 8' . I'm trying to use "The Garage Studio 1" design, of course adaptaded to my needs. Some questions:  1. The place is small: how to calculate the 6 degrees angle for side walls? 2. Do you believe this plan is suitable? 3. Would be better to build a complet dead Control Room, once the dimensions are too narrow? I wanted share the SketchUp file that could be usefull, and some one take the advantage of re-think it! See a ... :D

Looks pretty good, Will that size be sufficient? It looks like you could hardly fit anything in the control room besides yourself, let alone a console and some racks. Because of the small size you will want to work on good acoustical absorbtion. Is the room to the right an iso booth or an all around live room? If you are looking for a live room that size I wouldnt even bother and just extend the control room with a small single or dual performer iso booth. Also, I cant really tell if its parrallel or not, but the left and right wall on the right room should be slightly offset so you wont get wicked reverb. Fill
It'll be tight. He might get 1 more person in there. Hopefully he will be ITB as much as possible with maybe a small mixer if need be. :) My room is 11 x 13 and I think it is just big enuff to be useable...... I can get 3 people in my room and it is comfortable go 1 or 2 more and it gets suffocating.

Yeah, In the control the Green painels are high absorbers, the red ones bass traps and the yellows slats. Inside the Iso Booth I thought in using on the right wall 50/50 percent high absorbers and something like "omni diffusors"

Yes, to the right is to be an iso booth for vocals and whatever...

That's for sure! I hadn't realized that. what u think about the omni diffusors and the green high absorbers on the right wall working on breaking the parallelism of these walls? All in all its possible to angle the right sliding glass door.

You can also angle walls in the vertical direction like this - allowing more floor space. cheers john

Hi John
You can also angle walls in the vertical direction like this - allowing more floor space.
 Interesting, ha, What you think if I do it also on the front wall?
Yeah This aproach is actually great! Thanks John Paul

Cool man. Looks nice. Shouldnt need larger than 6" 2 way monitors for that room.
Hey Giles You know, I was just wonderig about an "appropriate" kind of monitors. I can't go beyond Behringer's(2030a or 2031a) and I've concerned about bass traps to this room. I need to design something to the ceiling, probably some hangers. I did appreciate your clue! grace n peace Paul
Hangers would be cool especially above mix positiong to kill reflections between the ceiling and desk. Grace and Peace eh?
Grease and pace!  :P
There is a local church (my wife used to attend) and they always greet you saying "Garce and Peace." Hence my response. :)

Some say Shalom Adonai, others peace, I saw Paul the Apostle greeting at the foreword on his letters whishin' grace n peace. Since then sometimes I use the same. Anyway we could say in this environment: peace n insights! or sharward's Grease and pace!  :P :o I felt a bit of cinism, though :o hahahahahaha Paul
Something bothers me. A better place to put the doors. Once the rear wall absorbers were made with the inclination TOP - Bottom, then it looks better to set the doors closer to the rear wall, besides, I wuoldn't have enough space for a sofa or similar in that place... Help
Ok so what is your Question exactly cuz it sounds as if you have the solution....
Sure I've Tryed this: place the doors closer to the rear wall to get a free way for walking - the lined picture. But after, I set the Booth door centred again to not lose the view comunication. What u think?

Centered is most likely your best bet for a space so small. keeping the door at the same angle as your resonators.....
